Choosing a media plan for my business

The choice of a media platform for marketing plays an important role in the determining the number of the target audience that can be reached. As a business entrepreneur, I would like to open an Irish restaurant and the grand opening will take place on Saint Patrick’s Day. Therefore, I must choose a media plan that will enable me to attract many customers to the grand opening occasion. The location of the restaurant is Old Town, Pasadena in California, U.S. The best form of advertisement would be billboard that should be strategically located at all the junctions in Old Town. One of the reasons for choosing this form of advertisement is that there is a large number of targeted audiences in the location of the billboard due to the high population of the Town. Secondly, billboards are cost effective, especially to business that are at the inception stage as is the case in my business. As Nyarko, Tsetse and Avorgah explain, billboard allows for an increased exposure frequency to the commuters, especially placed at strategic locations such as junctions (103). All the road users such as pedestrians and motorists will be able to see the billboard advertisement. In addition, billboards provide 24-hour advertisement unlike other forms of advertisement such as television. Therefore, all the road users and passersby will be able to access the advertisement even at night. Moreover, billboards have a better visual impact compared to other forms of advertisements such as posters owing to the message creativity and the size of the advertisement. The billboard will be designed in a descriptive manner that draws the attention of the targeted group. In this regard, most of the information will be enhanced using images that appeal to the eye of the audience.
