Essay title: Skinner

In this small town of Susquehanna, Pennsylvania is where a growing young lawyer by the name of William Arthur Skinner and young women by the name of Grace Madge Burrhus decided to have a child. This Childs name was Burrhus Frederic Skinner, or as many people know him as B.F Skinner. He was born on March 20 of 1904 where his parents raised him with a traditional and hardworking background. Skinners mother was very tough yet she didn’t lack any intelligence, which could explain for the upbringing of such an intelligent son. B.F Skinner grew up with his brother Ebie, who was known for being much more outgoing than himself. . Young Skinner grew up playing outdoors regularly where he also loved to build things that could be of use. For example one invention was a cart that accidentally steered backwards. Skinner later on designed a flotation system to separate green from ripe berries. Amongst different inventions Skinner and a friend found a cabin in the woods where they started a door to door business selling elderberries which proved to be much more successful then the backwards cart. When working a high School job at a shoe store he invented a device that would evenly distribute some green dust to use with a broom. Skinner showed great talent for writing and music. He would find himself often engulfed in the writings of Charles Darwin and Francis Bacon who later would be known as two very influential persons in the life of B. F. Skinner.

B.F Skinner attended Hamilton college in New York, where he also continued his love for writing. The comical side Of Skinner was also often seen in Skinner as seen some of his practical jokes. One such joke was where Skinner made a fake flyer stating Charley Chaplain was having a special performance. Later many people where in disillusion why Chaplain never showed.
