Nursing
As a child I never new the importance of an education until I graduated from high school I developed all my goals of being an successful nurse, but I wanted to party and wait a year before starting college. That was the biggest mistake I had ever made of course I realize it now. I then had my son at twenty-one years old. At that time I started going to school to be come a nurse. I then had to put together a plan and in the plan I developed time management skills, managing stress, setting a realist goal of finishing nursing school by age twenty –six, It was very hard being a single parent, fulltime job and going to college. While reading Chapter two In reading and tal this courseLearning Styles: Building and Using Self-Knowledge, my learning style is a logical-mathematical and intrapersonal learner. All of my life I enjoyed math but reading I had a slight deficit. I agree that I' m a intrapersonal learner as the chapter states, "Ability to understand one's own behavior and feelings: self awareness, independence, time spent alone." Now that I'm a nurse I use all the intrapersonal statements mentioned. In nursing we were taught to be empathetic with our patients to help them achieve a positive outcome as an inpatient and at home.
