Introduction

A “Carinderia” is a local eatery which offers and serves delicacies close to the heart of the Filipino masses. It had become widespread in rural areas after increased human mobility and patriotism around the late 1800s. It has evolved through the years, gaining additional utilitarian developments and managerial organization to sustain its growing demand.

It is also treated synonymously with fast food restaurants, those referred to as Grab-and-Go and Turo-turo for its manner of providing express food services.

I.         Background of the Study

BaDong’s is a Filipino Carinderia in spired restaurant that would feature Classic Filipino Cuisine through a variety of affordable combination meals that would best fit the taste of the Pinoys. It would also promote traditional customs in Filipino Dining and would provide quality service based on customer satisfaction.

BaDong’s will be strategically situated in Project 4, Quezon City on the corner lot edging the intersection of P. Tuazon Boulevard and J. P. Rizal Street. Its ideal location in the business center of Project 4, makes it accessible via the former routes which are plied by public utility vehicles. Motorized tricycles also provide access of commuters to the peripheral streets of Project 4 which is an urbanized residential area. Its proximity to the public market, the police station, local government offices, public and private hospitals, makes it accessible to both public utility vehicles and private transportation.

BaDong’s will be located right across a hospital, the Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC), surrounded by pharmacies and convenient stores. It will also front a diagnostic clinic which stands beside a salon. Also, residential condominiums and apartments arise within the vicinity.

BaDong’s would occupy 132 sq. meters of land and is planned to be constructed at the start of the month of May within the present year.
