The end of the shutter space program affected both the direct employees, and the contractors of Alliant Tech System who was known as one of the establish supplier of NASA. The contractor working with NASA has a bigger impact on the organisational commitment when the shutter space program ended. The direct employees will not lose their job as they have other jobs to work on even when the shutter space program ended. They are still able to continue work at NASA. However, the contractor working with NASA will have not have work for them as the space shutter program was a huge project for them, and ending the program was a loss to them. As the contractor working with NASA is a long term contracted employees, they would be affective commitment towards the job as they are main contributor in helping the work in NASA. In affective commitment, the employees have an emotional attachment and involvement with the organisation so it would be have a bigger effect on the contractor working with NASA.
