Key Findings:

Pod Weight Control

  • As per the graph for the Shift A, the pod weight performance variability lies between the UCL and LCL. This means that the process is under control. This indicates that the quality is good as the process is under control.
  • Similarly, for Shift B, the pod weight performance variability lies between the UCL and LCL. This means that the process is under control. This indicates that the quality is good as the process is under control
  • Similarly, for Shift C, the pod weight performance variability lies between the UCL and LCL. This means that the process is under control in Shift C as well. This indicated that the quality is good as the process is under control. However, the graph shows a decreasing trend towards the end, which needs to be investigated.

Finger Height Control

  • As per the graph, for Shift A, we can clearly see that some points are lying outside the UCL-LCL limits. This clearly indicates that the control of Finger height in Shift A is out of control. The machine should be inspected, parameters at which machine is running should be reviewed. The raw materials quality should be inspected in order to find out why the process is going out of control.
  • Similarly, for Shift B, we can clearly see that a total of 5 points lie outside the UCL-LCL limits. This clearly indicates that the control of Finger height in Shift B is out of control. Also, there are many points very close to the UCL. The machine should be inspected, parameters at which machine is running should be reviewed. The raw materials quality should be inspected in order to find out why the process is going out of control.
  • Similarly, for Shift C, we can clearly see that there are a number of points which lie outside the UCL-LCL limits. This clearly indicates that the control of Finger height in Shift C is out of control. The machine should be inspected, parameters at which machine is running should be reviewed. The raw materials quality should be inspected in order to find out why the process is going out of control.
