Abstract

The player of games is increasing daily. Video game, which became well-known only few years ago, is one of the most commonly played type of games today, having millions of users. The aim of this research is to investigate video games’ negative effects on MUST students. Ninety volunteers under graduate participated in the present research. The data obtained by the survey was analyzed and commented by our group. As the results show, students spend a significant amount of their time playing video games, including the time they are supposed to sleep and study. Furthermore, the video games actually have bad influences on students’ relationships.

   

Introduction

Students are heavily immersed in video games. They are crafting virtual-world lives that meld with their real-world. Indeed, video games’ successes are tremendous. As a result of this, the students players are increased daily. Video games allow players to be a member of characters in the games. Today, video games have over 1.2 billion players around the world[1] and are quickly turning into one of the most popular tools for entertainment, and in which players can relax themselves. Scientifically speaking, many players can find senses of accomplishment and lost happiness after a whole day’s hard work.[2] However, at present, the number of video games’ students players is huge and video games have many bad effects on them, such as health problems and suffering relationships.[3] As a result of this, it is necessity that research should be conducted.
