On a farm, a couple and a man with a friend who is mentally challenged are lonely. John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men” tells about Curley, Curley’s wife, and George. Curley, Curley’s wife, and George are lonely.

The first example of loneliness occurs when Curly does not become acquainted with other people on the farm. He picks fights with large people before he knows what they are like. His wife does not want to try to talk to him because he limits her activities. Since his father owns the farm, he can start a fight with someone, but he will no be in trouble. He accuses the workers for flirting with his wife when it is not true, and they think he is a liar and a snitch.

The second example of loneliness occurs when George does not have a chance to socialize. If Lennie, his mentally challenged friend, gets into trouble he does too because he helps him escape from danger. Lennie cannot understand what
