Romeo and Juliet essay

In the book “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare, all of the situation that were

happening between Romeo and Juliet, including their death, could have been prevented in

many ways. There are three important points on how they could have prevented the death

of both Romeo and Juliet. They are, the family feud between the Capulet and the

Montague, the role of woman at that time, and their hasty behaviours. Now if we roll

everything up in to one, we would get pressure. Pressure is an important fact and should

be taken in consideration if dealing with Romeo and Juliet.

The first point is the family feud between the Capulet and the Montague. The family feud

has to do a lot about pressure. Ever since Romeo and Juliet met, the pressure has played

its part. When they found out that they’re both from the opposite families, they began to

worry and doubt on whether they should stop seeing each other or they might get caught.

The fight between the two families comes back a long time ago, which is kind of

unbelievable because they are still fighting when everyone knows that it’s not even their

fight anymore. “ My only love, from my only hates…” This was said by Juliet when she

found out what Romeo was. This also shows how worried she is. If it wasn’t for their

feud, Romeo and Juliet’s situation could have been prevented, this is relevant to today

because most teenagers get a lot of pressure from their parents, and sometimes decide to

run away. This is just one out of three important facts about the prevention of Romeo and

Juliet’s death.

The second point is the role of woman’s that time. Shakespeare really shows you how

bad and unfair woman were treated back then. Juliet gets a lot of pressure from her

parents because she absolutely has no freedom, from what she wants to do, to her choice

of marriage; but she is a role model to most woman because she shows determination and

courage. The nurse was also treated unfair because she was fat, she was a servant, and
