Should gay couples be allowed to marry?

People don’t choose to be gay or wake up one morning and just say; “I’m gay” they were born that way. God never said anything about homosexuality being a sin. If you are not God you don’t have the power to say what is right or wrong. An equal partnership in our modern society to me is marriage. Homosexual couples should be allowed the right to marry because it is protected in the constitution-equality and liberty. Marriage is not defined by gender; it’s all about the bond between two people, and last, homosexual adoption allows a chance for every kid to have a chance at getting adopted.  We are the same, we are either male or female, we all eat and drink the same, why would you want someone who is only human to feel as if there not?  There is no rulebook on how you are supposed to live life. Just because someone is attractive in your eyes doesn’t mean everyone else has to think so. Everyone has a preference. Not everyone likes blonde hair, blue eyes just as not everyone likes the opposite sex.

First, banning gay marriage is against the constitution. Gay marriage is actually protected by equality and liberty!  Everyone has the right to happiness.  Protected by the due process clause, we have freedom of personal choice in marriage. People have various opinions on gay marriage and relations but the right of marriage should be left to the 10th Amendment. Gay’s don’t make rally’s on why people shouldn’t be straight, or try and control straight peoples rights; why is it being done to them?  If homosexual people are choosing to live their life together just as any other married couple then let them. My best friend since high school was always liked females and it never bothered me because we understood our beliefs and accepted each other’s. I want to see her smile as her bride walks down the isle, just as much as she can’t wait to smile when I do so, we are HUMAN. I do not understand why people cannot stop the separation between gay and straight. That’s like saying interracial people cannot marry, how unfair and uncivil!

Happiness is not formed by gender; it’s who makes you happy. You know what makes you happy, so do it. People should be able to marry if they love someone. Homosexuals should be allowed to publicly celebrate their happiness and commitment the same as heterosexual couples. I have heard people say, “you are suppose to get married and have kids then live happily every after”, if marriage is based on reproduction then infertile couples couldn’t marry. I had ovarian cancer which means of side of my ovaries doesn’t work at all, so does this mean I can’t get married because I have a 1 percent chance to reproduce? No. I am pretty sure ability and or desire to create a child has never been a qualification for getting married.
