Hitler's Rise to Power and Impact on Germany

Adolf Hitler’s cynical impact on Germany began when he rose to power by manipulation of the government into their own downfall and when he created the first real world concept of racial supremacy.

My TPSP thesis can be accepted because Hitler’s impact really did start with his rise to power. Papen and Hidenberg allowed Hitler to become chancellor because they did not want to listen to his complaints anymore and believed they could control him. However, it is not surprising that Hitler then abused his power and employed the constitution to do his bidding. Article 48 was used by many tyrants in Germany to have unlimited power over the government and the people. (Hitler being one of those tyrants) This also shows another weakness in the Weimar constitution and will be a leading factor in the Fall of the Weimar Republic.

Hitler has also influenced the people into hearing what they want to, just for his case of popularity. In 1929 the Wall Street crashed and America called in their loans from Germany, and this caused the German economy to collapse. During these times people began to grow desperate for a solution. Adolf Hitler came in and offered his extreme solutions to the broken country, and eventually he was able to help Germany out of depression.  He knew exactly what time he should offer his solutions, and was able to manipulate his image into something that resembled a hero. One of his biggest feats was lowering the unemployment down from 6 million down to 2.5 million (Hitler, Adolf and the Axis Leaders). After this “accomplishment” many people wanted Hitler to become chancellor and so this also influenced Papen and Hidenberg’s decision to make him chancellor in 1933.

As a man of major power now, Adolf Hitler then went on to create one of the largest massacres resulting in a horrible reputation for Germany. The holocaust was a mass order to kill all Jews involved or anyone assisting them. It is believed that he accepted that Germany as a broken nation and that it could only be repaired with a pure race. However, there are many theories as to why he hated Jews. EX: brain damage, believed Jews were the cause of defeat in WWI, and his abusive Jewish father. This race would contain only the smartest and most athletic; from this concept Adolf Hitler was able to shape one of the first ideas of racial supremacy.
