Chapter 2
1. It has an eerie/creepy feeling to it. Due to the fact the “Valley of Ashes” is basically a big ash tray where ash seems to grow into the shape of houses and chimneys. But to make the setting even more creepy, there are giant blue eyes belonging to Doctor T.J. Eckleburg
2. Myrtle is trying to justify the fact that she married George Wilson in the first place. Myrtle wants the luxuries and refinements that Tom's money can buy. On their wedding day, George had what seemed to be a luxurious tux, but Myrtle was devastated when she found out that he borrowed it from a friend and she was making a mistake marrying him.
3. Based on her speech, Myrtle appears to be a very passionate and perky character. She loves to talk and lives for retelling stories of past adventures and future plans. Her problem is that she doesn’t really live in the present, and her dreams aren’t always based on reality. Wants to be surrounded in luxury
