Ohio's only passion play, depicts the major events in the life of the Jesus Christ, the Savior by transporting the audience back through history to the time when God manifested his glory and love to man through his Son Jesus. The Bible comes to life before your eyes with Jesus' birth, the triumphal entry into Jerusalem, his ministry, the Last Supper, crucifixion, resurrection, and his glorious ascension.

The purpose of this play is to take the audience back to the time when Jesus walked the earth. The playwright is trying to get the audience to recognize how Jesus' lived during his time on the earth.

The set was very well done it was done in a representational way, which means that it is crafted realistically to look and function just as the scenic location would in the real world. The setting was ancient Jerusalem. The theatre is an outdoor theatre, there were three different sets build on site, one was the temple, one was the last supper room, one the Roman empire. They also used the graveled street to represent Jesus' ride into the city of Jerusalem, and they also used a hill for the crucifixion and resurrection.

The costumes were magnificent. The costume designer did an excellent job at picking out the costumes for the actors to wear. Most of the actors wore robes and sandals to portray bible characters. It really looked as if they were back in biblical times.

The sound was extraordinary fantastic it was very dramatic. They used music to represent the changing of scenes and other special parts throughout the production. They had two trumpeters that also played throughout the play to represent when the royalty characters in the play were entering the set. The used the sound of a hammer pounding nails to represent the hanging of Jesus on the cross, it made it feel very real that they were really hammering nails through Jesus' body.
