Promotions for crime scene investigators depend largely on experience and expertise; so, furthering your education as a CSI will give you an advantage in climbing the job ladder and getting a bigger paycheck.

I believe the salary information is consistent with the career goal that I have set, since I am not able to move to bigger cities in Florida that would pay more. If I didn't have kids in school or wasn't married then I would consider moving to the bigger cities of Florida such as Miami but since that is not feasible then I can say that I will be content with the pay in my area.
