In addition, the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics foresees a 20% increase in CSI employment rate by 2018; which makes the crime investigation job outlook very positive. Promotions for crime scene investigators depend largely on experience and expertise; so, furthering your education as a CSI will give you an advantage in climbing the job ladder and getting a bigger paycheck.

Also, when I was doing my search for salary information for CSI this website kept popping up on top of every search.

I believe the salary information is consistent with the career goal that I have set, since I am not able to move to bigger cities in Florida that would pay more. If I didn't have kids in school or wasn't married then I would consider moving to the bigger cities of Florida such as Miami but since that is not feasible then I can say that I will be content with the pay in my area. I know that pay can increase year to year so that is a good thing (Salary Genius, 2018).
