Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to express a strong interest in a summer internship (between the 25th of May and 15th of July, 2016) with the Standard Chartered Bank particularly in the area of Risk Management linked to Market/ Credit areas under the Finance Department. I am an aspiring Tanzanian citizen presently enrolled in Kodaikanal International School in the South of India. My strong commitment, perseverance, excellence and enthusiasm to attain increasing amount of knowledge in the risk compliance field would enable me to further my acquaintance with statistics and probability, hence giving me an upper hand in the field of actuarial science (my long term goal).
My strengths lie in communication, reading business-related articles and mathematically analyzing them. Due to my familiarity with statistical analysis and probability I will be capable of contributing resourcefully in the risk department. Moreover, I enjoy working within a team environment, completing assigned tasks and collaborating with teams, making me a great people’s person.
Furthermore, I possess decent computer skills in both the Macintosh and Windows software programmes, being able to profoundly utilize the Microsoft Office Suite, which would be a substantial plus point for my internship.
