Cosmetic surgery is becoming more and more popular every year. It helps people become more comfortable with themselves through aesthetics. The industry has created thousands of new jobs worldwide. As well, cosmetic surgery can help people born with defects or have been disfigured in accidents.

Cosmetic surgery is meant to enhance, and in some cases even remove certain features of a human figure. By enhancing certain areas of a female's body, it will help them to feel

better about themselves. Feeling better about ones self will help in their over all

perspective on life. Not only females benefit from such procedures, males have also been

known to get cosmetic surgery. All over the television, one can find shows dealing with

plastic surgery. These shows go into great details, which either benefit the idea of

cosmetic surgery, or make it a little less appealing to some viewers. From these shows,

you can learn a lot about cosmetic surgery procedures, and you can also listen to patients and their past experiences. Many people thinking about this procedure get the idea from things such as the internet, television, magazine ads, tabloids and of course, celebrity role models.

Since cosmetic surgery is a form of industry, many new jobs are created through it. The industry is booming. In Japan, profit has risen to as much as $25 million US dollars last year, which is up 50% from 1994. U.S. demand for cosmetic surgery products is expected to grow up to 9% annually through 2010, driven by an obsession with youth coupled with an aging population and greater product availability. Nonsurgical markets (e.g., injections, dermal resurfacing, micro-dermabrasion) will lead gains based on consumer preferences for less invasive treatments. Whether it be surgeons, assistants, or secretaries - thousands of jobs are being created worldwide in this $2 billion industry.
