Essay title: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

By J.K. Rowling

The story begins with three unusual events. First Harry has a dream about Voldemort, his past enemy and darkest wizard of his time. Next Harry gets invited to the Quidditch World Cup by Ron Weasley and his family. After the game the Dark Mark, Voldemort's sign, appears in the sky, causing a big panic that Voldemort might once again be alive and ready to fight. Finally when Harry returns to Hogwarts, his name is mysteriously entered for the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

The Tri-Wizard Tournament is an event for students over 17 years of age to compete in. The Goblet of Fire serves as the "ticket chooser", as it decides who will compete. Two other schools are also competing, but somehow Harry's name comes out of the Goblet of Fire, along with another Hogwarts student, Cedric Diggory. As the laws of the tournament say, even if the wizard is underage, if his name comes out of the Goblet of Fire, he has to compete. The two foreign champions are Viktor Krum of Durmstrang, and Fleur Delacour of Beauxbatons. The champions have to compete in three magical tasks, which will prove who is the winner of the Triwizard Cup and 1,000 galleons.

When the day of the first task arrives Harry is actually prepared, thanks to a friend that gave him a tip on what he was facing. The task involves getting past a dragon to get a golden egg. Harry is successful at this task thanks to his great flying abilities with his broomstick. Harry also got the egg in the least amount of time of all the champions, putting him in first place.

On the day of the second task Harry has found out that he needs to be able to breath underwater, the hard part is he has no idea how. Harry's friend Dobby, the house elf, knows Harry is having trouble so he steals some gillyweed from Professor Snape's office. Chewing gillyweed gives a person gills for one hour. After being informed you are to save something important to you in the bottom of the lake, Harry and the others all dive in to fight off swamp creatures
