Its significance does lie not only in the observable practice of its functions, but also contributing to the highest level of managerial policy. A central feature of contemporary human resource management is the idea of engaging the commitment of employees with the goals of the organization. This means that human resource management is not just about administering people but also about shaping the culture of the organization.
