Activists go beyond conventional politics and can be considered as an alternative to governemnt regulation. Activists are ususally known for being more effective than corporate campaigs and government regulations They play a significant role in the shaping of the non-market environment. Their cause might be protection of the environment, animal safety, human rights, women's rights, opposition to a factory law, or world peace.

a) They can aid in identifying issues which either managed is unaware about or has choosen to overlook.

b) They form act as watchdogs by forming advocacy groups and mobilizing poeple to work towards a common end. They fight againt individual violations by offering direct assistance to those whose rights have been violated.

c) Activists act as checkpoitnts in the market environmnets serve as catalysts for changes to national or international law. They overlook the lesgislation and regulations of the various laws and practises at various levels of the market. The pressure that they exercise can lead to formation of new laws or dissolveing or amednements to current laws.

d) Individuals and interest groups aid in spreading awareness about environemnet they also help in promoting knowledge and respect for human rights among the population. News and social media is instrumental in getting this information across to the public and making it readuly avialble.
