REACTION PAPER

I keep in mind that everybody has different beliefs and religion. Therefore, I should respect one's belief, and so should they. If one tries to attack my faith, I will do my best to defend my belief. God is my source of strength, and when I’m down, when I’m at my weakest, besides my loved ones, there is God. He always grants my prayers, which I am very thankful of. And with that, I always keep my faith in Him. Upon watching the film, I would say that the film was very inspirational. It gives you enlightenment about having faith to God, believing that there is a God and he created all things. The argument between the atheist and the theist, both have their points. If we really think about it, we can’t really say how the universe was created, how the world existed, how we existed. No one can ever prove to us or let us believe what is the origin of all things, if what we have believed in throughout our whole existence is the truth. I, myself sometimes question these things. It is really a mystery to all of us, and I don’t know if we could really find out the truth someday or maybe never. But if I were to ask what my belief is, I believe that there is someone out there, a God that I worship and have faith with. I’m a Catholic, but to be honest I don’t do everything what a Catholic must do. Because for me, it’s not that important to follow all what in your religion must or must not do, the important thing is that you have faith. Religion is just like a label to what your belief is. But if you sum up all of the different religions in the world, they all lead to one similarity, they all believe that there is a God. Different name of God and different stories of how it all began, but all believed the existence of God. That is why I don’t understand why people need to argue about religion. When religion is tackled, the discussion is never-ending. Sometimes religion is the reason why there is war or arguments in loved ones. Religion is about having peace or love, instead it makes people break apart. Why can’t people just unite since we all believe that God exists? That someone out there is the reason of all existence. I know it’s a long-term world problem, but I hope someday, a miracle will come that people will be united and just love one other, whatever religion, race or culture you are.
