Globalization is characterized by a wide range of commercial transactions and activities which among other things include sales, investments, imports/exports, manufacturing, transportation and logistics either for profit or non-profit with participation by individuals, private groups, governments, nations and regions or regional economic blocs.

ASEAN envisions to be an “ASEAN Economic Community” to be defined as having a single market and distribution base, a highly competitive economic region with equitable economic development and a region fully integrated into the global economy.  Discuss.
