When writing papers for English class, and any other assignment that requires me to analyze anything, much of my own identity is hidden. What I mean is that when I write, my opinion is just one third of the essay. My goal is not to put in my writing voice, but to complete the task; unless of course, it is an autobiography or an essay asking for my opinion. I came to America when I was six years old. At then, no one in my family knew how to speak English and how the American culture works. I was the first person in my family to learn English. I believe that because I was at such a young age, the common culture for me would be the American culture. I was never familiar with Chinese, I had left china before I fully understand how the Chinese culture. It could have been different if I came to America as a teenager or adult. But instead,
