Descriptive Piece
Great food, welcoming, and full of life is what comes to mind when I think about my kitchen. As I come home from a long, exhausting day of school, I hurriedly race up the stairs and into the welcoming arms of my kitchen. It surrounds me and embraces me with the warm, sweet aroma of apple cinnamon. I am able to enter into my kitchen and enjoy the sound of laughter and fun as my family and I make a meal or just sit there and savor the moments we have together.
My kitchen sits at the top floor of my house. As soon as I walk in, I am greeted with the sight of dark oak-paneled cabinets that hold the most treasured items ever, my food. While I continue on, the glisten of the marble stoned countertops catches my eye and I am able to lose myself in its enchanting patterns. Then suddenly, a burst of cool air rushes past my face as my sibling opens the fridge. With goosebumps covering my arms, I scold my sister and plop myself down onto the chair.
