A high pitched yell from the end of the house startled me. I wasn't groggy that day. I don't know why I always wake up refreshed thanksgiving mornings. I still need to scratch the sand out of my aggravated eyes. Mom brings me coffee and my clothes that I picked out the night before. The smell of the Thanksgiving bird in the oven mixed with the aroma of stuffing and pungent spices wake me up. I love thanksgiving; all of our family memories tied up into one day that keeps on adding. I look forward to Thanksgiving because of the food, the environment, and the meaning of thanksgiving.

If I set aside the meaning of Thanksgiving, forgot about all of my relatives, and got down to the bare grit of it, I would have a lot of food. That basically is the one reason why I see so many of my relatives at Thanksgiving. The food is great, some food isn't, but we eat it anyways. My favorite food is the deviled eggs. My auntie makes them almost every year. When she doesn't make them I'm sad. My dad always cooks the turkey. It's always moist and full of shhhctuffing.

The Thanksgiving environment is wonderful. I get to see all of my relatives. This Thanksgiving was great because I got to hang out with my brothers. Since I've been in college I haven't had much time to hang out with them. My relatives are happier
