Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of waiting, the day had come. September 28 was a day I had been anxiously waiting for since I turned 16 years old. I awoke early on this day, knowing I still needed practice for this momentous occasion. I sat in my mothers car and with my boyfriend as my passenger and coach, I tried to fit that Corolla in between the two strategically placed trashcans. Three, out of what seemed like hundreds of tries, went successfully. I became extremely discouraged asking myself why I waited till the day of my drivers test to parallel park. After my great accomplishment of parallel parking three times in a row, I went inside to get ready. Even though I had my mind set that I was not going to pass, I made sure my hair and makeup were perfect, just in case I did pass. Everyone hates a bad driver’s license picture. I wanted to make sure I got up there early, so after getting ready I rushed my mom out the door. My mom wanted me to drive to the testing center so I was not as nervous, well that did not work. Driving to Norristown I made more mistakes than I ever did before; I blew I stop sign, I cut a car off, and swerved from side to side not paying any attention to the road. My nerves were all at fault for this bad driving. I kept thinking to myself, I can not fail because I am the only eighteen year old who does not have their license. After three or four mistakes, my mom had me pull over and she drove the rest of the way. As we pulled into the testing center, my heart started beating faster and faster to the point where I could almost feel it jump out of my chest. I got into the drivers seat, and waited in the test line. A man signaled me to roll down my window and he asked me for my permit. I got my wallet and went to pull it out of the spot I kept it in, but it was not there. I began to search frantically through my wallet and purse tearing everything apart. Impatiently, the man told me to park the car and wait in the line that seemed like it went for miles and buy another permit. An hour went by and I finally got to buy another permit. I got back into my car and the drivers test line to wait, once again. As I waited I thought to myself, so much has gone wrong today that I have to pass my license, there is no way anything else could go wrong. Just as that thought left my mind, my
