1) Introduction

In this assignment I talk about the global warming problem. The Global warming is increasing the Earth temperature due to the use of fossil fuels and other industrial processes leading to an accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. It is a problem that is affecting the humanity more every day, gradually intervening in their lives. It also affects in a progressive and rising balance and development of the beings that surround the human, including himself as the main affected and causing this situation that threatens life on the planet in a radical way and the most important thing is that there is no turning back.

What can we do? In this work are some solutions I've included because, in my opinion, are the most significant.

2) Aims

The purpose of this study is to know a little more about the problem that affects us so much and trying to raise awareness of its importance.

Raise awareness of the reality and effects of our actions is the only possibility to correct the harmful effects of human activity. There are so many reasons to solve this problem because we have the information and tools to do so.

3) Methods

To make this work I have visited different websites, I have read some articles about the problem and I have seen a video about the global warming, including disasters that have happened and proofs of the seriousness of the situation.

• ¿What's the global warming?

It's the most serious problem that the planet is living, beyond the political and / or the wars that some countries are experiencing now.

Specifically, global warming is the increase in temperatures that are manifesting on the planet, of course, this problem has been caused by humans, and scientists have called it "greenhouse effect".

This is the result of the excess of pollutants, mainly carbon dioxide (CO2) that in nations like North America and some European countries has increased alarmingly.

Maybe we still have time to do something about it, but the more we delay in resolving this matter and its consequences, the more it will become irreversible for us and for future generations.

• Causes

Making a direct attribution is scientifically impossible.

But it's known that the principal cause is the greenhouse gases: mainly carbon dioxide but also methane and nitrogen oxides, produced by burning coal, oil or gas. Simply starting a car or turning on the light. These gases have been accumulated in the atmosphere for centuries. Greenhouse effect blocks the exit of the heat emitted by the Earth's surface, so it warms the world.

These greenhouse gases are what make the Earth habitable, because otherwise it would be too cold, but current levels are harmful effects on the climate.

A report of 2007 says that the increase of extreme events, like droughts and heat waves that can be attributed to anthropogenic climate change, produced by the human action. Some growing evidences suggest a discernible human influence on aspects of climate, like sea ice, heat waves and other extreme events, storms and rains.

Undoubtedly, the problem is due to our actions…What will happen?
