As the photographic market had a significant transformation due to the technology in the last five years, Kodak, one of the leaders in this industry is currently straggling with the transformation and end up losing sales in the traditional photographic market. Moreover, the intense competition in the digital camera market has driven the profit margin to a razor-thin level.

After reading the case and browse through KodakЎ¦s website, I came up with several recommendations that are listed as followed:

First, since the cell phone industry has pick up their pace in merging as many technologies as possible, Kodak should capitalize on this precious opportunity and cooperate with major cell phone companies. As Sony-Ericsson is the only cell-phone company that has the expertise in the both markets, Kodak can follow Sony-EricssonЎ¦s footstep; use its expertise in developing a cell phone that has the ability and picture quality of a Kodak digital camera, hopefully, they can capture the remaining market shares.
