Executive Summery

This study is conducted in our company in operation department looking for the possible solutions for our main problem of disability of fulfilling all the orders quantity from our customers as many customers are issuing complains that they are not receiving the full quantity as it mentioned in the orders or contracts. The possible hypothesis for this problem is trying to use a software of MRP Material Resource Planning system to improve the method of planning, ordering and receiving the row orange from our suppliers. Hiring a quality staff could be one of the best possible solutions and put some of them at the vendor site and put some others in our site to ensure that the material receiving from suppliers is complied with the standards so we can maximize the quantity of the finish fresh orange product for export and minimize the quantity which will go for the local market as much as we can. Sourcing new vendors who are having a good quality material could be also a possible solution to increase the supplying quantity from vendors so we can increase the quantity of the finish product.

The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire consists of 8 questions of multiple choice, yes or no and open ended questions. From the survey conducted we can conclude that our current method of planning the row orange requirement are seeing that it is good while most of them are preferring to use the MRP software system. From this study, it can be concluded that employers have realized the importance of hiring a quality staff whether to be located in our site or at the site of vendors. From this study we can also conclude that the hypothesis which we proposed are supported because most of survey respondents are suggesting the same possible solutions as we can see from the findings of the survey.
