1. Provide an overview of the article

This article is to examine the associations among different quality management (QM) practices and investigate which QM practices directly or indirectly relate to five types of innovation: radical product, radical process, incremental product, incremental process, and administrative innovation. QM is a holistic management philosophy that fosters all functions of an organization through continuing improvement and organizational change (Kaynak and Hartley, 2005). Innovation refers to new applications of knowledge, ideas, methods, and skills that can generate unique capabilities and leverage an organization's competitiveness (Andersson et al., 2008; Daft,1978). This article is deep discuss the relationship between quality management and innovation?to test the proposed model, data were collected from a sample of ISO 9001 certified manufacturing or service firms.

2. Critique the article

Quality management and innovation are two important strategies for organizational success; different enterprises to adopt two different strategies had been successful. According Rose (2005), the study proposed quality management and organizational innovation is to play a catalytic role or hinder the role of doubt, that the emphasis on control, quality management and emphasis on prevention and reduction of the continuous improvement of the error may be too conservative to enable enterprises, lack of innovation power and think quality Management nonlinear thinking contrary to the analytical, linear way of thinking and innovation needed. Just like Paul (1998) expressed as total quality management and innovative relationship is very complex, even a different study concluded that under the same economic environment is not the same, a measure of the impact of total quality management on innovation depending on the composition of the two elements.

Cianfrani (2009) first proposed the concept of innovation scholars, he believes that the importance of the new product is to stimulate economic growth, innovation is defined as: enterprises to adopt a new kind enough to change its production possibilities production process or production method. In this article, Cianfrani believes that the adoption of innovations including the generation of new ideas or behavior, development and implementation of the innovation is a new product or service, a new production technology, a new organizational structure or management system, or a new plan or program. Innovation is meaningful changes to products, services and processes bring new performance for organizations to create new value for stakeholders. Most scholars accept organizational innovation management innovation and technology innovation by dimension. Innovation management innovation on the organizational structure and management constitute a direct relationship with the organization and management; technological innovation is the innovation of products, services and production process technology, it is directly related to basic work activities.
