Just a few years ago, the classroom lecture and the library were the only methods people had for getting an education. In today’s world, there are many tools and processes that can give students another avenue for higher education through the use of the Internet. The University of Phoenix provides this new approach for their MBA students to include rEsource, Learning Teams, and Problem-Based Learning. I’m confident that these tools will help me progress through the remainder of this course and beyond.

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the significance of having rEsource available at my fingertips throughout the MBA curriculum, the importance of Learning Teams, and the value of Problem-Based Learning. While using all these tools simultaneously, I can appreciate the how they compliment each other for that total learning experience. I believe these tools will allow me to have the skills necessary for the professional world.

The Value of rEsource

The University of Phoenix definitely considered the professional workplace when they created the rEsource link on their website. REsource is a big plus for military professionals like me who have an extremely busy schedule. Being available at my fingertips 24/7, it will help me be a better writer with its available online library. This library offers working students an excellent way to do the research required without having to go to a traditional library. The time saved can be used to produce the best possible product within the time limits provided.

Another time saver rEsource has to offer is the Center for Writing Excellence and is available for both teachers and students. Since good writing skills are necessary at the University of Phoenix and the workplace, the Center for Writing Excellence is a way to submit a paper for a quick review with feedback that will allow me to be able to make corrections prior to submitting the final product. This tool will definitely help me with my writing assignments and give me the communication skills required before applying while working with teams in the real world.
